It’s been kind of a slow weekend on the news front, so I’ll do my best to keep you entertained/informed…
- New Rule (borrowing a page out of my boy Bill Maher’s book): Any time I can link absolutely anything to do with Buddy Ryan, I will. “The Bodybag Game.” What else really needs to be said here. By the way, why in the hell isn’t the Ryan-Kevin Gilbride scuffle on YouTube? Whoever finds that clip and e-mails me (pacmanjonesin@gmail.com) will instantly become my new personal hero.
- The Fanhouse informs us that The Namesake is smarter than he looks. Apparently, Pacman was an honors student back in high school and made a 3.0 at West Virginia (where that duschebag Bob Huggins now coaches). He even mentions Ben Affleck, whose brother Casey once said, “my boy’s wicked smart.” Pacmizzle sure the hell is, isn’t he? Double digit run-ins with cops in the last few years. Unless you are Chris Henry and just have God-given talent when it comes to breaking the law, it takes some brains to get into that much trouble.
- Nyjer Please released its fantasy football QB ratings. For the most part, I agree with them. Except that Jon Kitna should be ranked higher, and Carson Palmer should be ashamed of this, not his appearance on a cartoon.
- You Been Blinded passes along some valuable info on how you can increase sports blog traffic. Sports bloggers take note.
- For all you hoopheads, Empty The Bench does a stellar job of breaking down how each team faired in last Thursday’s NBA Draft.
- My little bro previews Madden 08 over at my other home blog — Arrowhead Addict.
I keep listening to the news speak about getting free online grant applications so I have been looking around for the best site to get one.
