What The Eff is With the Green Sticker

Published by Adam at 6:41 pm under B.S. (General)

Green DotDuring tonight’s Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers game, the pillar of football knowledge that is John Madden gave us the scoop on those green dot stickers that have popped up on the back of quarterback’s helmets this preseason. Apparently, the stickers identify the helmet with the only communication device on the field. Is this really necessary? Didn’t everybody already know that all on-field QBs always have radios in their helmets? What’s next, a red dot on the ball in play so people don’t get confused?

Anyway, my brother and I were dying to know what the point behind these stickers were, and our suspicions were right — radios. At first, we thought it might be a tribute or something. Nope. Sorry to disappoint everybody, but the story here is that there’s really no story at all.
