Please Don’t Sue Me, Pacman

Pacman Jones will reportedly be cut by the Dallas Cowboys, who have decided to part ways with the controversial cornerback after allegedly receiving disturbing accounts of Pacman’s off-field activities, including an allegation that Pacman ordered some of his boys to shoot at some guys outside a club back in 2007.  Note that I’m being very careful to use words like “allegedly” when dealing with this particular story.  This is because Pacman, in a fit of rage over the wild accusations being leveled against him, has threatened to sue ESPN, the ones who originally broke the story.  Nobody slanders the Pacman – especially not the network that employs Ed Werder and all those other anti-Cowboys guys.  I personally don’t want to get on Pacman’s bad-side – I’m allergic to litigation and I’m really, really allergic to lead.

Oh, I neglected to mention the most important point:  Pacman allegedly had his boys fire at those other boys while he was serving his one-year suspension for all that other stuff he did during his rainmaking period.  Now, I know Pacman didn’t really do what they say he did, which makes the whole thing moot, but let’s just pretend for a second he did do it at the time they said he did it.  That would make him either the most brazen individual on the face of the earth or the stupidest.  A guy who would do something like that would deserve a complete life-time ban from the NFL with no hope of reinstatement.  But, Pacman doesn’t have to worry about this cause, as we know, it’s all just ESPN lies.
