Michael Phelps has decided to get out ahead of what is sure to be a poopstorm over News of the World‘s publication of a picture of him sucking on a bong at a college party last November. The Olympic hero and stunningly wooden pitchman has admitted the guy in the picture is indeed him and apologized for letting everyone down. Said Phelps in a statement:
I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.
Translation: I like the chronic too much to ever give it up, so in future I will endeavor to smoke it out of range of idiot college girls with cameras. At least until the Democrats make it legal. Then…it’s all good.

Who cares about the guy getting high at this point. Marijuana is the least of anybodies problems in this or any day or age. Phelps did what millions of Americans do, so who the hell cares!?
