Alex Rodriguez is still sorry he did steroids. And now he’s also sorry that he said disparaging things about SI reporter Selena Roberts, one of the people who outed him as a cheater. Here’s what A-Fraud said about Roberts in his Peter Gammons interview:
What makes me upset is that Sports Illustrated pays this lady, Selena Roberts, to stalk me. This lady has been thrown out of my apartment in New York City. This lady has five days ago just been thrown out of the University of Miami (by) police for trespassing. And four days ago she tried to break into my house where my girls are up there sleeping, and got cited by the Miami Beach police. I have the paper here.
Note that Alex made that final remark about the paper without ever producing anything remotely resembling one. So maybe the “paper” was with one of the various police departments allegedly involved? Real reporters looked into it and – shocker – none of the police departments that would’ve been responsible for ejecting Selena from A-Rod’s property or citing him had any record of any of it. So he basically made that up. Which, in my estimation, is worse than taking steroids, and should leave him open to some kind of defamation suit if Roberts would like to go down that avenue.
Clearly, A-Fraud’s lawyers informed him that it’s not okay for him to make up allegations against people, because he’s now officially apologized. If I’m Selena Roberts I’m still suing him. You can’t go around accusing people of criminal acts and smearing them because you’re a big buttwipe who’s trying to deflect criticism. This takes all the juice out of A-Rod’s initial mea culpa. He gets no credit for copping to something, then lashing out wildly and falsely against the people who caught him. He just seems pathological and insane now. And did I mention that he’s also a poopyhead?
