Alex Rodriguez all of a sudden needs surgery to remove a cyst from his hip and won’t be seen around a ballpark until May. This means A-Rod will not be able to participate in the World Baseball Classic, nor will he be playing in spring training with the Yankees. And it also means he won’t have to answer any more questions about steroids, Katie Couric, his cousin the drug mule, Jose Canseco, being a fatheaded liar, Madonna, or any of the other stuff he’s completely sick of. Yeah A-Rod…how convenient.
