Shaquille Gives Chris Bosh a Rest, Goes After Stan Van Gundy Instead

Posted by: danzinski

The Phoenix Suns may be stalled out at the bottom of the Western Conference playoff chase, but their biggest and baddest player, Shaquille O’Neal, is on a personal roll…with his big, bad mouth.  Wanna know how fast and hard the Diesel is racing right now?  Ask Stan Van Gundy, who just got bumped into the median and flipped the bird out the window.

The trouble started after former Heat and current Magic coach Van Gundy got on Shaq for flopping in a game against Miami the other night.  How dare he suggest the Big Aristotle is a Vlade Divac wannabe!  Shaq of course wasted no time coming back at his former coach, cracking:

I was trying to take a charge, trying to get a call. Yeah, it probably was a flop, but flopping is the wrong use of words. Flopping would describe his coaching.

Think Shaq was done there?  Not close…

One thing I really despise is a front-runner. I know for a fact [Van Gundy is] the master of panic. When it gets time for his team to go in the postseason and do certain things he will let them down because of his panic. I’ve been there before. I’ve played for him.

I’m beginning to think Shaq is a tad prickly.  That’s okay though…he’s bringing the entertainment value.  And the best thing about it is, if he’s busy yapping at people, he doesn’t have time to make anymore awful movies.
