Video: Nick Swisher Pitches Bottom of 8th for Hapless Yankees

The Rays pounded six different kinds of dog-crap out of the Yankees Monday, amassing 15 runs off Chien Ming-Wang and the rest of the Pinstripers’ regular pitchers, and forcing them to send position player Nick Swisher to the mound for an inning of pen-sparing work.  Swisher allowed only 1 hit, 1 walk and no runs in his one frame while notching one strikeout.  Gabe Kapler, the Ray who was whiffed by Swisher, should immediately be sent to AAA…and I don’t mean the minors.  He should be sent to work for the other AAA, answering distress calls from old ladies stranded by the side of the highway with their cat panicking in the backseat.
