Cavs Ousted from Playoffs, LeBron Blows Off Media
You would’ve thought LeBron James was some kind of living saint, the way the media kowtow to him, and speak of his every move in the most effusively complimentary terms. But that Mr. Perfect image cracked somewhat Saturday night, in the wake of the Cavs playoff ouster, when LeBron went low-rent, and blew off the very same media members that have spent that last several years carefully maintaining his pedestal. Now, for perhaps the first time in his career, LeBron is getting ripped. The lesson for The Chosen One: those media guys only suck up to you and act like your friend as long as you pay them back with access. The second you cut them off, or behave in a surly or disagreeable fashion, they will tear you down like the Iraqis dismantling that statue of Saddam Hussein.
