Vince Young Has No Heart, But at Least He Admits it

Posted by: danzinski

Vince Young, in an interview with ESPN set to air on Sunday, admits that he was so hurt by negative fan reaction last year, it almost made him pack up his shit and go home.

“I was to the point where man, I didn’t really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt,” Young says. “I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me — I didn’t want to play no more.”

Young, as you recall, became so despondent last season that, at one point, Titans coach Jeff Fisher reportedly called the cops to go make sure he hadn’t stuck his big square head in an oven.  Young of course denied ever being suicidally depressed, and also shot down reports that he threatened to quit football, but now he appears to have done a complete 180 on that.

The good news for the Titans was that, with crybaby Vince on the bench and a real man’s quarterback Kerry Collins behind center, they made a playoff run.  Now Vince is whining that if he isn’t the starter in 2009 he wants to be traded.  Evidently, Vince doesn’t understand the concept of leverage.  I was going to say he should just suck it up and win the job back, but I don’t think Vince knows how to suck it up.  He only knows how to suck.
