Brandon Marshall Also Wants Out of Denver

Just weeks after trading away Jay Cutler, the Denver Broncos might be about to lose another of their prime offensive weapons.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall – a guy some might argue has been more trouble than he’s worth – is disillusioned with the situation in Denver and wants to be traded.  Speculation on who might land Marshall is bound to center around the Chicago Bears, who already have his old teammate Cutler in the fold.

Schefter says Broncos owner Pat Bowlen has discussed the situation with Marshall, and instructed his disgruntled receiver to think it over for awhile.  Nowhere does anyone suggest that Broncos coach Josh McDaniels has spoken to Marshall, which, when you consider how horribly McDaniels handled the whole Cutler situation, is probably just as well.

It has already been a tumultuous off-season for Marshall – a couple weeks ago, the receiver was the subject of a probing ESPN OTL report in which his ex-flame accused him of physically abusing her.  Marshall has denied the ex-flame’s charges.  Two seasons ago, Marshall sparked early suspicions that he is a giant knucklehead when he accidentally put his arm through a TV screen, slicing said arm to ribbons and requiring surgery.  But he’s still a great receiver, so I’m sure the Broncos will do everything in their power to keep him.
