Television station WCCO in Minneapolis is reporting that Brett Favre has already signed a contract with the Vikings, and is expected at training camp come the end of July. And yes, the Favre #4 Viking jerseys have already been ordered up. Packer fans who’ve been holding their puke down may now release it. Just try getting it into the bucket for once.
WCCO says Favre’s contract is “incentive-laden,” which falls in line with what Mike Florio reported on PFT a few days ago. Of course, there have been multiple debunked Favre reports this off-season, so it’s possible this one is a load of bull too. Then again, most of the false reports were by ESPN, and ESPN has nothing to do with these new ones, so that gives them a certain level of credibility. The name “Ed Werder” has become the kiss of death for truth.
