Dream Golf Foursomes: Who Would You Choose?

Spyglass Hill.  Cypress Point.  Pebble Beach.  Three Days.  Three Courses.  Three Foursomes.  Nine People.   Who would you choose and why?

Last Friday Fan Addict asked a few bloggers to come up with a list of twelve famous folks (dead or alive) to invite to your Last Supper.  I enjoyed the post so much that I thought I’d give it a slight tweak to incorporate my interest in the sport of golf (yes, it’s definitely a sport).  However, instead of a dozen, I only need you to come up with nine well known people…and all nine need to have a pulse.  After much deliberation, here is my dream long weekend:   

Day 1 – 8:06 AM Tee Time at Spyglass Hill:  Megan Fox, Meagan Good & Bill Clinton

A little ebony, a little ivory and a horndog ex-president (who is back in the spotlight as a trending topic as I type this post) .  There would be a lot of hands-on instruction as I have no doubt that both ladies are neophytes on the links.  

After slumming with Paula and Monica, Slick Willie would literally be like a kid in a candy store.  Just thinking about him chasing the Me(a)gans around with his cigar brings a smile to my face.  Afterwards, we would return to the hotel to spend the afternoon poolside sipping cocktails and soaking up the rays.

Day 2 – 8:31 AM Tee Time at Cypress Point: Charles Barkley, Ricky Gervais & David Feherty

Three raconteurs and also three of the flat out funniest people in the world.  There would be a lot of booze, a lot of stories and a lot of laughs.  Feherty would provide non-stop commentary about Chuck’s ghastly golf swing throughout the round and afterwards I’d sit in the hotel bar until closing time listening to the three of them hold court.

Day 3 – 11:27 AM Tee Time At Pebble Beach: Barack Obama, Michael Jordan & Bill Murray

Having closed down the bar the night before, POTUS, Air Jordan and the Clown Prince of Golf will just need to wait for me to sober up.  Murray’s antics would keep everyone loose and the conversation would be lively because of the Chicago connection.  Jordan & I would be betting on virtually every shot as Carl Spackler provided color commentary. 

After the round we would play a few games of H-O-R-S-E  and I’d mop the floor with Murray, Obama & Jordan.  Hey, it could happen.  Have you seen Jordan lately? He’s definitely packed on a few pounds over the years.  If you can come up with a better long weekend, I’d love to hear it.
