Q: Given your obsequious fawning over the movie “Almost Famous” during the past couple of weeks, I take it you’re a huge Cameron Crowe fan. “Singles” and “Jerry Maguire” were phenomenal, but I thought “Vanilla Sky” was virtually unwatchable. What do you think?
SG: I agree. David Lynch even thought “Vanilla Sky” was incomprehensible. On the other hand, “Almost Famous” was an absolute masterpiece and joins ”Teen Wolf”, “Karate Kid”, ”Victory” and “Just One of the Guys” in my All-Time Movie Pantheon.
