The Good, Bad & Ugly of Super Bowl XLIV: Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Sean Payton’s Balls, David Letterman, Kim Kardashian, Snickers, Doritos & The Who

There was a lot to soak in last night and here is a little stream of consciousness post covering the Good, Bad & Ugly:
Good
Drew Brees was masterful and certainly deserved the MVP
Sean Payton has brass balls for the brilliant onside kick call to start the second half
Speaking of brass balls, how about Saints kicker Garrett Hartley? The kid nailed three clutch 40+ yard field goals and somewhere Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding was drinking heavily
Peyton Manning and Pierre Garcon’s first quarter touchdown connection was picture perfect
The Snickers commercial with Betty White and Abe Vigoda was thoroughly enjoyable. I also liked the Letterman/Leno/Oprah 15 second promotional spot and the following Doritos commercial:
Bad
Pierre Garcon’s second half drop on 3rd down definitely changed the momentum of the game
Almost all of the other commercials during the telecast. As far as I’m concerned, only the three mentioned above stood out (although I didn’t see all of them)
Peyton Manning’s interception late in the game that was returned for a touchdown by Tracy Porter
Manning channeling his inner-Belichick while stomping off the field without congratulating Brees, Payton or anyone else
Kim Kardashian proudly proclaiming on Twitter that ‘We’ won the Super Bowl. We did, huh?
Ugly
A couple of sexagenarians stumbling around on stage for twenty minutes between the second and third quarters. Who exactly is selecting the halftime entertainment? What an abomination

Hartley broke a Super Bowl record with those kicks. With New Orleans being such a young team I believe they will be back within two or three years. Maybe as early as next year, perhaps.
