We’re Back (Although we never really left)
Call it a small sabbatical, a study break, what ever. We needed a 13 day break to finish school(DEDICATION) strong and figure some shit out. It was nice to take in the internet for a week or so without having to spit anything back out. 1st time we’ve really gotten to take an extended break in…shit 2 years. All that said, it’s time to get back to work. Below you’ll find my opinions on a few things that happened while I wasn’t on here typing compound swear words all day. Good things ahead for this here blog. Bill Stewart, Dana [...]
Urban Meyer Resigns From Florida
Urban Meyer has resigned as Florida’s head coach. Again. He’ll coach the bowl game, and Mississippi State HC Dan Mullen would appear to be the #1 candidate to replace Meyer. With the Stache’ leaving Pitt. on good terms and Meyer making a graceful exit from Florida you have to wonder if like celebrity deaths, these things come in 3′s, and a certain squinty old man could be making his graceful exit from Morgantown sometime soon.
The Sunday Links Like to Sleep In
My fantasy team’s out of contention and the Redskins are the only game on at 1pm in my area. GUH. Here’s some cool things in case you’re stuck in the same situation. USC-UCLA devolved into a knife fight. Auburn 1, Oregon 2, TCU 3 in the Final USA Today poll WVU came up short in their late season BCS bid. We still laugh at Rich Rodriguez. Baseballs winter meetings start this week. Enjoy the games!
The Adam Dunn Rant
(Image via Yardbarker) As a Washington Nationals fan, I try to look for the positive in the various things the team does. So I guess I’ll start with that. The deal Dunn received from the White Sox (4yr/56million) is money the Nationals can now apply to finding a goddamn pitcher. Also, with the likelihood being that they sign a 1- year stop gap at 1st, they can make a big offer to Albert Pujols, should he be available next winter. Now the negative. We’re not signing fucking Pujols. The Lerners are cheapskates like 90% of the other owners in baseball. [...]
So it was announced today that Russia and Qatar will be hosting the World Cup in 2018 and 2022. Whoopee, I guess? Judging by Twitter reaction it wasn’t a huge shock Russia got a bid, but Qatar was apparently surprising, since the U.S. also wanted the bid. But hey anytime you can put a huge world event in a country with less people that West Virginia, with ass-backwards laws when it comes to women’s liberation and drinking, I guess you have to do it.
