Multiple sources(here,here,and here) are reporting that Rich Rodriguez has been FIRED as Michigans Head Coach. We said our big piece on the matter early this morning, but lemme just say this: When you fuck over your entire football team, coaching staff, employer, and an entire state and fanbase by throwing a game as egregiously as he threw the Pitt game that year, you deserve what you’ve gotten. The Ax Hanging Over Rich Rodriguez’s Head Is Awesome
One thing that is universally enjoyable is when people get what they deserve. That’s why executions used to be public events. It’s just great to see someone get what’s coming to them. It’s Spring and Michigan Football is Still a Mess
If you thought the bad news ended for Michigan football with the culmination of their dismal 3-9 season, guess again. On Tuesday, the negative Rich Rodriguez karma train got steaming again when presumptive 2009 starting quarterback Nick Sheridan broke his leg scrimmaging. Eric Mangini is no longer the head coach of the New York Jets, having been jettisoned on Monday after leading the team to a 9-7 record one year after they slumped to 4-12. 9-7 might seem pretty good after 4-12, until you realize that at one point this season they were 8-3 and looked poised to make a Super Bowl run.
