Multiple sources(here, here, and here) are reporting that Rich Rodriguez has been FIRED as Michigans Head Coach. We said our big piece on the matter early this morning, but lemme just say this: When you fuck over your entire football team, coaching staff, employer, and an entire state and fanbase by throwing a game as egregiously as he threw the Pitt game that year, you deserve what you’ve gotten. The verbal abuse from an entire state, not getting Pryor, all the beatings, the practice time scandal, the Josh Groban thing, the worst bowl beat down in Michigan history, and now-public firing. Thanks [...]
One thing that is universally enjoyable is when people get what they deserve. That’s why executions used to be public events. It’s just great to see someone get what’s coming to them. That’s why Michigan’s firing of Rich Rodriguez is going to be so enjoyable. The guy quit on WVU before the biggest game in school history, tried to screw the whole program on his way out, then played the ”oh my children were taunted at school” pity card. Of course your kids were taunted you jackass, they were the only ones left because your ass got outta town 5 [...]
Rudy Gay > LeBron James The NFL will be relocated, not expanding a team to LA. Notre Dame, taking a typical Notre Dame stance on a typical Notre Dame problem. Very little movement in the Coaches poll. Larry Fitzgerald is understandably not happy about the Cards QB situation. Blake Griffin continues his posterization tour. Terrorists wanted to kill the 1992 Dream Team. Smart WVU fans do not want Rich Rodriguez back, but Bill Stewart isn’t getting the job done either. Enjoy the games today, Happy Thanksgiving, and EAT SHIT PITT!
If you thought the bad news ended for Michigan football with the culmination of their dismal 3-9 season, guess again. On Tuesday, the negative Rich Rodriguez karma train got steaming again when presumptive 2009 starting quarterback Nick Sheridan broke his leg scrimmaging. On Thursday, Mr. Rodriguez – whose spread offense doesn’t look quite so hot without Pat White running it – said Sheridan will miss the remainder of spring drills but should be able to work out this summer. The Wolverines may have dodged a bullet with this one – Sheridan could have torn something and been lost forever – [...]
Eric Mangini is no longer the head coach of the New York Jets, having been jettisoned on Monday after leading the team to a 9-7 record one year after they slumped to 4-12. 9-7 might seem pretty good after 4-12, until you realize that at one point this season they were 8-3 and looked poised to make a Super Bowl run. Then lots of bad stuff started happening, mostly the fault of Brett Favre whose arm has apparently petered out after 18 seasons and countless thousands of throws. The team limped to a 1-4 finish and missed the playoffs…and what [...]
